Spiritual Quietness

Sometimes, it good to get away from the noise. Go somewhere quiet to gather your thoughts. That's a rare commodity in my life.  There's the noise of the road, noise of the boys, and noise of a busy office. Often times I can't wait to be alone with the Master.  We all need spiritual quietness from time to time.  Spiritual quietness is a mini revival where you get into the scriptures and absorb all of God's wisdom. This is a time to repent of sins, to renew spiritual promises you made and to communion with the Creator.  It's a time of reflection of the past and preparing up for the future. You can have your spiritual quietness early in the morning when everyone asleep or take a nature walk in the middle of the day.  How about grabbing your bike and ride the bike trail.  Wherever you go and however you get there, take your Bible.  On your spiritual journey of quietness, remienscence on the goodness of God. Awe Him! Thank Him for all the times he came ...

Give Thanks

I remember asking God for something but when He answered my prayer, I didn't get it.  I was so glad!  I ran to him thanking him. One of the hardest things to do is when life is hard,  to give thanks.  The outlook is dim and gray. Although hope is all around, giving thanks doesn't spew out.  So how does one give thanks when life issues over shadows him?  Remember Joseph in Genesis? He had a life of slavery and imprisonment.  Joseph was young, arrogant and foolish, as we are many times. He probably started out thinking he had it all under control.  Slowly, he found himself in situations were he had no control. Do you feel like that at times?  No doubt Joseph called out to God on his dark days. However, he learned a lesson in his hour of need. He learned humility and that God always has a plan we cannot see until it is unveiled. After his brothers' evil plot of getting rid of him and then seeing them again in the future, Joseph realized God ...

Living The Life

I heard on co-worker ask the other co-worker how was it going. To his reply came, "living the dream."  Are you living the life?  Ecclesiastes 5:18 says, "...it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him for it is his portion."  God wants you to live a happy, stress-free full life. Don't allow anyone to take that from you. This day, when someone come towards you with aggression, smile.  Maybe there was a death in the family and that person is just angry.  When your enemy hate you without a cause, thank God. God maybe preparing a table before you in their presence, which has set them off (smiles).  When threaten to lose your job, rejoice. Your boss may not have the respect of the company like he or she thought and wants to take away your joy--not knowing God gave you your job.   When blessed, praise God. There's more where that cam...

Make some noise!  Yeah!!!  Beautiful memories began this day. Everyone scream!   This is the year of peace, excitement and prosperity! Think about what God is about to do in your life.  You're stronger than you were last year. Don't look back, look ahead. What is it you want to happen this year? Follow your heart. Get your college degree, start your business, build a better you, join that weight lifting competition, work on saving more money, share Jesus with others, get a new car.  Whatever your desire, this is your year. You can have all of this. Just remember the One who can help you obtain your goals.  I call him G.O.D.  He is your guiding light and like no other. He's the one there no matter what. He'll take care of everything. Put Him on the top of your wish list and watch your dreams come true.  Then thank Him.  Hallelujah! Get excited because this is your year. I can't wait to see what's in store for you.   Praise Him!!! Com...
