The Rain

There is something about rain. It is soothing. Therapists play relaxing sounds of rain during sessions. It calms the mind.  On my way to church,  a drizzle of rain hit my windshield.   The sky was dark and gloomy.  I noticed above the clouds the sun shining regardless of its surroundings.   Troubles in your life mimics the dark clouds and the sun represents the Son of God shining in your life (2 Samuel 23:4).   The Old Testament speaks of rain in the aspect that God gives and withholds rain, which is a sign of God’s favor or disfavor: Joel 2:23; Job 29:23; Jerm 3:3. Who tips the water-jars of Heaven (Job 38:37)?   Who gives the rain in it season (Jeremiah 5:24)? Who sends an abundance of rain when needed (Psalm 68:9)?   It’s not just the presence and absence of rain that’s important but the timing. God provides what you need at the right time: Rain teaches us: ·        Wait for the Father to fight your battles, like you wait on rain during a draught (Job 29:23). ·

Never Lose Faith

You could be in the middle of a bleak situation and it appears there’s no hope. Dump the thought! This is from the devil. He wants to you lose faith because he knows the truth. That truth is that God will take care of you. Satan also knows that you can’t please God if you have no faith (Hebrews 11:6). In case you don’t know what faith is, it’s what you want, but you don’t see it. Because you don’t see it doesn’t make it not real. You don’t see your pay check until you’re paid. Does that mean you stop believing you will get one at the end of the week? If you didn't believe you would get paid, you would ask for your pay upfront.       There was a couple in the bible had a temporary faith amnesia. Abraham and Sarah thought since they were old, they wouldn’t have a child of their own. So Sarah sends her husband in with a pretty maiden to conceive a child. When it was all said and done, they created a problem that could have been avoid if they keep their faith and waited (G

Heaven's Hotline!

Heaven’s hotline is available day or night.  Never worry about the line going dead, disconnected or even fear an operator saying, “Please hold.” God answers all His calls. How do you get connected? I’m glad you asked. You received your telephone number the day of your new birth. The cost of installation was Jesus’ blood on the Cross. Your name was entered on God's speed dial. There you have it, no number to memorize and no dial tone to achieve; the call connects instantly when you say the code words “o ur Father .”            You don’t have to worry that someone is listening or be concerned with how to phrase your sentences. The receiver knew you before you were formed. ( Jeremiah 1:5 ). In fact, you do not have to explain your reason for calling. God wants you to talk to him.         Did you know that an angel stands before God day and night offering up your prayers as incenses before Him ( Revelation 8:3 )? Your prayers are important. They are so important that Paul

That’s What I Like!

Bruno Mars wrote a song entitled, “That’s What I Like.”    He goes on to sing, “jewelry shining so bright, Lucky for you, that's what I like.”   You know what? That what I like.  You like jewelry don't you?  I know where we can find some.  Heaven! Keep that place in your view finder.  That's a goal to be achieved. Revelations describes parts of Heaven and it's jewelry items. Revelations 21:21 says, “…the street of the city is pure gold, as it were transparent glass.” Oh baby! Think about it! There are people alive killing for gold. Many have tried robbing banks for it.  We get to walk on it. That’s what I like. I like that God’s people will be celebrities in Heaven, having crowns on their heads like Queen Elizabeth. You know what else will be an awesome site in Heaven, the gates to the city is make of pearls! I wonder if that door is heavy.  I'm having a ladder, screw driver and a shovel buried with me. That way, if I'm on the outside, I will go over th
