Verse of The Day

Power Within
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Acts 1:8 (NIV)

Blessed Person
Blessed is the man that walk not in the counsel of the ungodly nor stand in the way of sinner, nor sit in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and is in God's law doth he mediate day and night.
Psalms 1:1-2

Instructions
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.

Trust God
Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what shall you eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body what ye shall put on.  Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Matt 6:25

 Who Do You Really Love?

Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind.
Matt 22:37

You Want Wisdom?
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Understand It Better By and By

Funny how life has a way of showing you what you’re made of.  When adversity hits, what you say you wouldn't do becomes easier to do.  When the rubber meets the road, yes! you do the unthinkable.  Let's say you have a house fire and on the second floor is your baby and mom. You can only save one, which would it be? I've heard many say they would grab the baby since mom has been around a long time. I couldn't say.  I'm not in that situation right now.  There's no way to know what to do until tragedy hits.  Some can handle atrocities, whereas; other have no clue how to maneuver suffering nor know why hardship occurs.  Stop trying to figure out why hardships happens--only the Father knows.  He won't have you guessing long.

The underlining reason at the end of your trials gives away the mystery. Experiencing hardship isn't fun but you will come out with more insight than ever before.  Instead of getting angry with God regarding your circumstance, ex…

God's Timeout!

Even in the mist of your trials, God provides prosperity and peace.  In Jeremiah 29, God told His people that after captivity, after their time-out, He would restore them to Jerusalem.  The people’s response was simply to listen and obey.  Such a simple task, yet, not easily done. Are you a doer of God’s word? Does others see God in your actions? Do you see yourself, your actions, and your thoughts when you read God’s word?   James talks about looking into God’s mirror and walking away forgetting what you look like (James 1:23-24).  Trials are not for you to point the finger at others or to use as a pawn to make idle promises to do better. Trials designed to bring you closer to God, to embrace His love, mercy, and grace.  Remember raising your children (if you had any) and after you scold them, they ran to you with tears in their eyes and hug you tightly, a silent plea for forgiveness.  When God cannot get your attention, he puts you in His time-out. No one likes chastening nor does it…

Heaven's Hotline!

Heaven’s hotline is available day or night.  Never worry about the line going dead, disconnected or even fear an operator saying, “Please hold.” God answers all His calls. How do you get connected? I’m glad you asked. You received your telephone number the day of your new birth. The cost of installation was Jesus’ blood on the Cross. Your name was entered on God's speed dial. There you have it, no number to memorize and no dial tone to achieve; the call connects instantly when you say the code words “our Father.”

You don’t have to worry that someone is listening or be concerned with how to phrase your sentences. The receiver knew you before you were formed. (Jeremiah 1:5). In fact, you do not have to explain your reason for calling. God wants you to talk to him.

Did you know that an angel stands before God day and night offering up your prayers as incenses before Him (Revelation 8:3)? Your prayers are important. They are so important that Paul urged the Ephesians…
