Get Ready

When the Children of God came to the Red Sea, no doubt their motivation levels were very low. They had Pharaoh and his army behind them, mountains on the sides of them and the Red Sea ahead of them.  There seemed to be no way out of this saga.  A movie where the villain has the good person cornered.  You wonder how they were going to get out of it.

God's people waited 450 years to be released from Egypt and right at their blessing (crossing the Red Sea), the God's Children cries out to Moses, "Because there were no graves in Egypt, has thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? Wherefore has thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than we should die in the wilderness."

Moses answers the people by saying, "Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord....The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." other words shut up and let God do his thing. Stop your whining.

As usual, Moses took their complaint to God. Listen how God answered Moses:

"Wherefore criest thou unto me? (HA!, you go God) Speak to the Children of Israel, that they go forward. Lift thou rod and stretch out thy hand over the sea, divide it and the children of Israel shall (the word shall is a promise) go on dry ground in the midst of sea."

Isn't that what happened?

This life can throw some powerful punches. That doesn't mean you can run and throw in the towel. God has given you everything you need to walk into your destiny of blessings (2 Pet 1:3).  You have to reach for those blessings by FAITH.  Dig your faith heels into the sand. Put your boxing gloves and fight back. You can’t give up. God gave this to you. If you want to win this fight, you can’t get tired.  Remember Revelation says you already won the victory. Put on your war clothes (Eph 6:10).  Hold up the Word of God in the fight.

I know so much has happened to you in the past. I know you’ve been beaten down and struggle to grip the side of the chair to pull yourself up. The power you seek is within you! It’s a force that the world can’t overcome. That power is the Holy Spirit. He will guide you into all truths. Don’t lay there. Don’t let Satan beat you like Mike Tyson beat his opponents. Get on your feet and fight. This is your eternity you are fighting for. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.  When you enter into eternity, there’s no crossing over from hell to heaven. Satan knows where he is going and is content with his destination. Don’t let him take you with him. Fight!  Whatever sin you are struggling with, you can beat it. You can win. You can walk away from it through prayer. Don’t worry about what others think or say. Be a better person for yourself. Get up and fight. Get ready today for your eternity!

Understanding It Better By and By

Funny how life has a way of showing you what you’re made of.  When adversity hits, what you say you wouldn't do becomes easier to do.  When the rubber meets the road, yes! you do the unthinkable.  Let's say you have a house fire and on the second floor is your baby and mom. You can only save one, which would it be? I've heard many say they would grab the baby since mom has been around a long time. I couldn't say.  I'm not in that situation right now.  There's no way to know what to do until tragedy hits.  Some can handle atrocities, whereas; other have no clue how to maneuver suffering nor know why hardship occurs.  Stop trying to figure out why hardships happens--only the Father knows.  He won't  have you guessing long.      The underlining reason at the end of your trials gives away the mystery. Experiencing hardship isn't fun but you will come out with more insight than ever before.  Instead of getting angry with God regarding your circumst

I Got You!

Do you remember going to the arcades? You and your friends’ old rendezvous spot, battling for the top spot in one of the popular games. While you guys horsed around, a group of troublemakers bullied their way onto the machines? Your posy band together vowing to have each other’s back.  Now days, every man for himself. Someone will call 911 for you, any more than that would be heroic (Romans 5:7).  No one takes on any man’s cause anymore. The back-in-the-day phrase was "I got your back."

God Is Good!

Have you notice that when something good happens in your life, such as a promotion or your favorite team win their game or you bowl a strike in bowling or you win a debate over an issue that's dear to your heart, you jump up in enthusiasm with fist balled up and make a upward motion with your hand yelling "Yes! God is good." I hear that statement often and only when something great goes on in your life. Wasn't God good before that incident?  Wasn't He good when you were laid off from your job? You end up getting a better job and making more money. Wasn't He good when your house caught on fire? Your insurance claim paid out more than you could imagine and got your house fixed or better, received enough money to get another house?   Wasn't He good when you were robbed? He replaced what was taken and gave you more than you previously had? Wasn’t He good when you had no idea how to pay a bill that popped up on the radar and someone came along and jus
