Understanding It Better By and By

Funny how life has a way of showing you what you’re made of.  When adversity hits, what you say you wouldn't do becomes easier to do.  When the rubber meets the road, yes! you do the unthinkable.  Let's say you have a house fire and on the second floor is your baby and mom. You can only save one, which would it be? I've heard many say they would grab the baby since mom has been around a long time. I couldn't say.  I'm not in that situation right now.  There's no way to know what to do until tragedy hits.  Some can handle atrocities, whereas; other have no clue how to maneuver suffering nor know why hardship occurs.  Stop trying to figure out why hardships happens--only the Father knows.  He won't have you guessing long.

The underlining reason at the end of your trials gives away the mystery. Experiencing hardship isn't fun but you will come out with more insight than ever before.  Instead of getting angry with God regarding your circumstance, ex…

Family Style Dining

Remember days of old, where family style dining was popular. Everyone gather around the table on those special occasions holding hands and giving thanks to God for the family.  That scene reminds me of the television show, “The Waltons.”  A family of ten jelled together through misfortune, love, and hope around the kitchen table. I never experienced family style dining until I had children of my own. I love it! At dinnertime, we share our emotions, our wants, and our faults. We become one during our meal.
What would family style dining would be like if we brought a little Heaven to our table.
Imagine elegantly set China place settings before each family member.  Everyone around the table all dressed up. A large centerpiece of roses in the middle of the table.  Can you see it?   Someone would begin by saying, “please pass me hope,” whereas another would ask for “mercy.”  “I’ll take a little forgiveness, please.”  Wow! What a meal!

I Need You

God is with us way before we need Him. I was coming from Publix supermarket. I stopped briefly at the red light yelling at my kids about money. You want, want, want and not understand how money is made.Anyways, I proceeded to drive through the red light. Another car was coming, but, the person wasn't in a hurry getting where he was going. I heard faint horns blowing in the distant.I looked up as I was traveling  directly under the red light and realized what a God I serve! I immediately thanked Him for watching over me. If you are anything like me, which I am working on, you call out to God when there is a immediate need. Prayers come out something like, “God, you know me. I really need you right now.” What if God treated you like you treat Him and answered when He felt like it.When it’s convenient, you pray. Prayer is supposed be about having a relationship with God. It's constant communica.  How your relationship with the Father? Just remember, God is not a vending machine wh…
