Understand It Better By and By

Funny how life has a way of showing you what you’re made of.  When adversity hits, what you say you wouldn't do becomes easier to do.  When the rubber meets the road, yes! you do the unthinkable.  Let's say you have a house fire and on the second floor is your baby and mom. You can only save one, which would it be? I've heard many say they would grab the baby since mom has been around a long time. I couldn't say.  I'm not in that situation right now.  There's no way to know what to do until tragedy hits.  Some can handle atrocities, whereas; other have no clue how to maneuver suffering nor know why hardship occurs.  Stop trying to figure out why hardships happens--only the Father knows.  He won't have you guessing long.

The underlining reason at the end of your trials gives away the mystery. Experiencing hardship isn't fun but you will come out with more insight than ever before.  Instead of getting angry with God regarding your circumstance, ex…

God's Timeout!

Even in the mist of your trials, God provides prosperity and peace.  In Jeremiah 29, God told His people that after captivity, after their time-out, He would restore them to Jerusalem.  The people’s response was simply to listen and obey.  Such a simple task, yet, not easily done. Are you a doer of God’s word? Does others see God in your actions? Do you see yourself, your actions, and your thoughts when you read God’s word?   James talks about looking into God’s mirror and walking away forgetting what you look like (James 1:23-24).  Trials are not for you to point the finger at others or to use as a pawn to make idle promises to do better. Trials designed to bring you closer to God, to embrace His love, mercy, and grace.  Remember raising your children (if you had any) and after you scold them, they ran to you with tears in their eyes and hug you tightly, a silent plea for forgiveness.  When God cannot get your attention, he puts you in His time-out. No one likes chastening nor does it…
Multitasking tires you out. With so many balls in the air, when do you find time for God? Those balls you juggle are children, spouse, job, church, youth sports, club attendances, shall I go on? Did you forget someone? God gave you those balls you juggle. He didn’t intend for you to replace Him with them. Everything thing comes from God for you to enjoy, but not to neglect Him.In Bible days, if God didn’t open the womb, women didn’t have children (1 Samuel 1:5). There were no doctors to provide medical advice or procedures to help women have children. God gave the children (1 Samuel 1:20). Likewise, all you own comes from the Master. There is none like Him (1 Samuel 2:2). He is full of knowledge (1 Samuel 2:3), raises the poor (1 Samuel 2:8), and guards the feet of His faithful (1 Samuel 2:9). So, the next time you have so much going on that you can’t thank God, remember the One who takes care of you.Remember how healthy you are to juggle all you enjoy. Remember the One who gave you mo…
