Why Now?!

Troubles seems to come an inopportune time. Just when everything is going good, then comes adversity. Isn't it enough that we are doing our best to keep our heads above water? I guess not. That's life. You wake up on top of the world, by noon the world is on top of you. There's no escape from life's hustle and bustle.  Every time we turn around, there is something we have to deal with. Why now?

First, God didn't say we wouldn't have troubles. In fact he warned us of them in 2 Timothy 3:12. Note, Jesus knew this to be true and because of this anomaly, in his sermon on the mount he mentioned the poor in Spirit, meek, pure in heart and they who are persecuted for righteousness sake would be alright. You may say those people are located at the bottom of the barrel but actually they are close to the Lord's heart. Therefore, the next time you say why now, just know that Jesus is very near and guiding you to something so wonderful and amazing to behold.  But for now here are a few encouraging scriptures to comfort you:

Psalms 34:6 - This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

Psalms 34:17 - The righteous cry, and the Lord hearth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

Romans 8:35 - Who shall Separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?
Why now? God has a plan (winks)

Understanding It Better By and By

Funny how life has a way of showing you what you’re made of.  When adversity hits, what you say you wouldn't do becomes easier to do.  When the rubber meets the road, yes! you do the unthinkable.  Let's say you have a house fire and on the second floor is your baby and mom. You can only save one, which would it be? I've heard many say they would grab the baby since mom has been around a long time. I couldn't say.  I'm not in that situation right now.  There's no way to know what to do until tragedy hits.  Some can handle atrocities, whereas; other have no clue how to maneuver suffering nor know why hardship occurs.  Stop trying to figure out why hardships happens--only the Father knows.  He won't  have you guessing long.      The underlining reason at the end of your trials gives away the mystery. Experiencing hardship isn't fun but you will come out with more insight than ever before....

Trust God

Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight ( NIV ). “Police, Police, a young man stole my bike.”   Minutes earlier the gentleman stops at the local store. Thirsty from the summer heat, he decides to get a drink.   Dismounting his bike, a kind young man greets him with a smile and offers to watch the bike. Grateful for the offer, the gentleman hands over the bike.   He enters the store. On returning, the bike and young man had vanished. The gentleman had a good heart, but he had misplaced trust.   Trust in the Lord is paramount (Hebrews 11:6). Life cannot be maneuver through our wisdom, we need the wisdom of the Savior.   He alone can handle our life cycle issues.   A fulfill and successful life with Jesus comes through obedience and surrender. The Lord then guides us into an everlasting peace despite difficulties and h...
Multitasking tires you out.   With so many balls in the air, when do you find time for God? Those balls you juggle are children, spouse, job, church, youth sports, club attendances, shall I go on? Did you forget someone? God gave you those balls you juggle. He didn’t intend for you to replace Him with them. Everything thing comes from God for you to enjoy, but not to neglect Him.   In Bible days, if God didn’t open the womb, women didn’t have children (1 Samuel 1:5). There were no doctors to provide medical advice or procedures to help women have children. God gave the children (1 Samuel 1:20). Likewise, all you own comes from the Master.   There is none like Him (1 Samuel 2:2). He is full of knowledge (1 Samuel 2:3), raises the poor (1 Samuel 2:8), and guards the feet of His faithful (1 Samuel 2:9). So, the next time you have so much going on that you can’t thank God, remember the One who takes care of you.   Remember how healthy you are to juggle...
