(A Poem to keep your focus during trying times) It's Not Always Easy It's not always easy to smile and be nice, when you are called to sacrifice. It's not always easy to put others first. Especially when tired and feeling  your worst. It's not always easy to do the Father's Will. It wasn't so easy for Jesus to climb Calvary's Hill. But we as HIS Children should learn to obey; not seeking our own, but seeking HIS way. It's not always easy to fight the good fight, but it's always good and its always right! K eep your head to sky. Keep the faith. Stay strong. What comes your way, God will handle. What isn't easy, is done to see if you will do what's right. Make the Father proud, by putting your armor on (Eph Chapter 6.)

Have you had one of those days where everything is going well?   The children doing well in school. Spouse happy.   Your job is going well. Bills all paid.   Then disaster hits. Stuff happens you didn’t expect.   The microwave stops working.   A storm comes through and destroy towns. The car dies.   You name it, it happens.   When all is good, take heed.   Remember who owns this world. Satan doesn’t want you to be happy.   He feeds off your misery and sadness. Jesus had a day when all went well.   In Luke 3:16-17, John baptized Jesus.   Immediately coming out of the water, Jesus saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit of God descended on Him like a dove.   Suddenly, a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”   A great bonding time with the Father! Then comes the devil.   After Jesus’ baptism, the Holy Spirit led Him into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. Although Jesus led into the wilderness by the Spirit, this shows Satan

God is full of surprises. I stopped at the local convenient store to pick up a few items.   I took my time making my selection.   when I was done looking, I placed my items on the counter. A middle age lady rang up my items on the cash register. She entered the cost for each item, then hit the total key.    I swiped my visa in the card reader.   A question popped up: Would you like cash back appeared on the card reader. At that moment, I wasn’t sure what to select. It took me a minute or two to decide.   Without much thought, I selected yes. The screen displayed the money selection in denominations.   I still didn’t know why I was on that screen. I selected twenty dollars. The cashier gave me twenty dollars and my receipt.   I  put the money and receipt in my purse and went on my way. The next day, I got ready for work. During WWI and WWII, many soldiers left home to fight for their country.   They return home unable to find jobs. Their hometown forgot their sacrifice on the battlefield. Soldiers became strangers amongst their own; they didn’t feel welcome. Jesus felt the same way. After Satan unsuccessful attempt to temp Jesus, the scripture says, the devil left him for a season .   The great news about Jesus spread throughout the region. He went home.  Jesus did what he always did when he got there, went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day. He stood and read the scripture.   He read from the book Isaiah.   His reading began, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”   He closed the book and gave it back to the minister.   Jesus

We put our trust in things and people.   We trust when we put our foot on our car brakes, the car will stop at the light.  We even go as far as trusting the traffic lights to work properly as we drive through it.  We trust neighbors, family and friends with our children, trusting they won't molest or abuse them in some way. We eat at restaurants, trusting the cooks washed their hands before handling our food.  We let doctors treat us, trusting their diagnosis and prognosis correct. When will we trust God? Many say if they were living in biblical times, they wouldn’t do what people did in the Bible. I beg the differ.   Peter said he wouldn’t deny Jesus.   And yet it happened.   God told Abraham he would have a son with Sarah. He didn’t trust God.   If he did, there would be no need for Hagar to get pregnant with his baby. What has God’s Word told you that you don’t believe.   His word says if you forgive others, he will forgive you (Matt 6:12); His word says He’
