God Never Changes But He Continuously Surprises

God is full of surprises.

I stopped at the local convenient store to pick up a few items.  I took my time making my selection.  when I was done looking, I placed my items on the counter. A middle age lady rang up my items on the cash register. She entered the cost for each item, then hit the total key.   I swiped my visa in the card reader.  A question popped up: Would you like cash back appeared on the card reader. At that moment, I wasn’t sure what to select. It took me a minute or two to decide.  Without much thought, I selected yes. The screen displayed the money selection in denominations.  I still didn’t know why I was on that screen. I selected twenty dollars. The cashier gave me twenty dollars and my receipt.  I  put the money and receipt in my purse and went on my way. The next day, I got ready for work. I grabbed my belongs, put them in the trunk of the car and drove off.  When I arrived at work, I open the trunk of the car, grabbed my briefcase and noticed something missing—it was my lunch! I had no idea what I was going to eat. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me of the twenty dollars in my purse.  I reached for my wallet and as I opened it, I thanked God for the surprise. He gave me what I needed before I needed it.  He saw my future. My provision  provided. God never changes (Malachi 3:6, James 1:17), but He sure does know how to surprise.

Has God surprised you lately? Showed up when you least expected it? How about gave you money through another person who happen to show up at the right time and said, "The Lord laid this on my heart to give to you?"  What about a bill due and you got a notice that it was paid by a mystery person? I got one, what about applying for all sorts of jobs and the job you got had nothing to do with those you applied. A friend told their boss about you and you were hired on the spot. We serve a God that doesn’t change but he sure knows how to surprise.  BIG Smiles...

I Got You!

Do you remember going to the arcades? You and your friends’ old rendezvous spot, battling for the top spot in one of the popular games. While you guys horsed around, a group of troublemakers bullied their way onto the machines? Your posy band together vowing to have each other’s back.  Now days, every man for himself. Someone will call 911 for you, any more than that would be heroic (Romans 5:7).  No one takes on any man’s cause anymore. The back-in-the-day phrase was "I got your back."

Understanding It Better By and By

Funny how life has a way of showing you what you’re made of.  When adversity hits, what you say you wouldn't do becomes easier to do.  When the rubber meets the road, yes! you do the unthinkable.  Let's say you have a house fire and on the second floor is your baby and mom. You can only save one, which would it be? I've heard many say they would grab the baby since mom has been around a long time. I couldn't say.  I'm not in that situation right now.  There's no way to know what to do until tragedy hits.  Some can handle atrocities, whereas; other have no clue how to maneuver suffering nor know why hardship occurs.  Stop trying to figure out why hardships happens--only the Father knows.  He won't  have you guessing long.      The underlining reason at the end of your trials gives away the mystery. Experiencing hardship isn't fun but you will come out with more insight than ever before....

I Didn't See That Coming

Arriving at work, I put my lunch bag in the refrigerator, fired up the computer and  entered my logged on.  The phone rang.  "This is Ms. Swanson," I told the caller.  "Yes, right away."  I hung up the phone, reached for my keys and raced downstairs asking God to provide what I need from the spiritual realm. I wasn’t sure what I would run up against. A policeman was at my car writing a ticket. One of the sergeants’ saw my handicap placard on the seat and called me to come down quickly. While racing to the car, I noticed my IPhone watch on my arm. I wasn't allowed to wear it at work, especially with security violation written all over the action. I forgot to take it off! Supposed someone saw it, I could lose my job. Right at that moment I remembered to get my retainer from my purse when I put it in the truck. It could melt in the heat, costing a replacement cost of $300. All I can say is, "I didn't see that...
