Timetable

Everyone has a timetable, whether it is doing something or nothing at all. It’s a scheduled time to get what you want to accomplish. Some call it a to-do-list. Others call it their bucket list.  Getting the twins out of high school is my timetable.  The other one is retiring from my job, getting a puppy and do nothing.  I look forward to that day. Preparation is underway.  I’m paying off bills and saving money. at least trying to save money.  At any rate, I don’t need the stress of bills after retiring. Many of you have other personal timetables.

Guess who else has a timetable, God.  His timetable has been in motion for eons.  At some point, we’ll cross paths with God’s timetable.  He set a time for us to die. Romans 5:12 say, “… death passes upon all men.”   His other timetable is the judgment.  Hebrews 9:27, “…and as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”  No one wants to die nor talk about it.  In fact, many evade the subject altogether.  Be honest, are you thinking about dying? Go on, you can tell me.  Whether you ready or not, death is coming, next, the judgment.  What plan do you have in place to meet Jesus’ face in peace?  If you don’t have one, put a plan together today.  Submit to God’s will, be Christ-like. Help your neighbor.  Live godly. Be the godly example. Help those in need.  Use kind words when speaking.  Don’t just walk this life carousing and the sort.  Live this life like it will end because the first face you see in the next life will be Jesus.  You don’t want to hear, “…depart from me.”  You want to hear, “welcome into the joys of Heaven.”  Let’s get right church and go home.

Understanding It Better By and By

Funny how life has a way of showing you what you’re made of.  When adversity hits, what you say you wouldn't do becomes easier to do.  When the rubber meets the road, yes! you do the unthinkable.  Let's say you have a house fire and on the second floor is your baby and mom. You can only save one, which would it be? I've heard many say they would grab the baby since mom has been around a long time. I couldn't say.  I'm not in that situation right now.  There's no way to know what to do until tragedy hits.  Some can handle atrocities, whereas; other have no clue how to maneuver suffering nor know why hardship occurs.  Stop trying to figure out why hardships happens--only the Father knows.  He won't  have you guessing long.      The underlining reason at the end of your trials gives away the mystery. Experiencing hardship isn't fun but you will come out with more insight than ever before....

Freedom

Freedom Fighter For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (Meanwhile in Heaven) “Now let’s see what they will do.” “Does anyone know what just happened?”   “I don’t think so Father; look at them scurrying around like ants. They are oblivious to my death.”   “Give it time, Give it time.” “How much more time?”  “Look! There’s one praying. She talks to me all the time. Her heart is so tender and loving like us.”   “Listen.”

Get Ready

W hen the Children of God came to the Red Sea, no doubt their motivation levels were very low. They had Pharaoh and his army behind them, mountains on the sides of them and the Red Sea ahead of them.  There seemed to be no way out of this saga.  A movie where the villain has the good person cornered.  You wonder how they were going to get out of it. God's people waited 450 years to be released from Egypt and right at their blessing (crossing the Red Sea), the God's Children cries out to Moses, "Because there were no graves in Egypt, has thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? Wherefore has thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than we should die in the wilderness."  Moses answers the people by saying, "Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation ...
