Children Wisdom

My son and I were in the post office.  He noticed photos on the wall of different people.  He turns to me and asked who were those people. I told him the police wants us to help them capture the people.  He asked how?  I continued to tell him if we saw the person to call the hot line and tell the police where we saw them. Then, he ask me, why didn’t the police keep them when they took the picture. I stopped and looked at my child. Sometimes children say the most amazing things. They see what adults can’t see because their minds are innocent; not clouded with preconceived notions adults developed as they grow into adulthood. Children teach us things we’ve forgotten like:

·       Sharing

·       Trust

·       Forgiveness

Someone can do evil to a child in their class, and an hour later, it’s as if it never happened.  Someone mistreat us at work and we are cutting our eyes at them, working an evil revenge to get back at them, forever.  Children pushed down by another kid on purpose or accident, they cry it out and back to business as usual. Someone bumps us in the mall and we rush up to them making them apologize or shoot them.  God’s Words says forgive and children do it. Get this, they can’t read. His Word says the same thing to adults, we read it and we don’t do it.

I think our children are onto something. However, when they are our age, they will lose it, or will they?  If we change our ways, maybe they won’t. Let’s have childlike thinking so our children don't lose their innocence. Plus, it's the right thing to do according to Mark 10: 14-16, "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

I Got You!

Do you remember going to the arcades? You and your friends’ old rendezvous spot, battling for the top spot in one of the popular games. While you guys horsed around, a group of troublemakers bullied their way onto the machines? Your posy band together vowing to have each other’s back.  Now days, every man for himself. Someone will call 911 for you, any more than that would be heroic (Romans 5:7).  No one takes on any man’s cause anymore. The back-in-the-day phrase was "I got your back."

Understanding It Better By and By

Funny how life has a way of showing you what you’re made of.  When adversity hits, what you say you wouldn't do becomes easier to do.  When the rubber meets the road, yes! you do the unthinkable.  Let's say you have a house fire and on the second floor is your baby and mom. You can only save one, which would it be? I've heard many say they would grab the baby since mom has been around a long time. I couldn't say.  I'm not in that situation right now.  There's no way to know what to do until tragedy hits.  Some can handle atrocities, whereas; other have no clue how to maneuver suffering nor know why hardship occurs.  Stop trying to figure out why hardships happens--only the Father knows.  He won't  have you guessing long.      The underlining reason at the end of your trials gives away the mystery. Experiencing hardship isn't fun but you will come out with more insight than ever before....

I Didn't See That Coming

Arriving at work, I put my lunch bag in the refrigerator, fired up the computer and  entered my logged on.  The phone rang.  "This is Ms. Swanson," I told the caller.  "Yes, right away."  I hung up the phone, reached for my keys and raced downstairs asking God to provide what I need from the spiritual realm. I wasn’t sure what I would run up against. A policeman was at my car writing a ticket. One of the sergeants’ saw my handicap placard on the seat and called me to come down quickly. While racing to the car, I noticed my IPhone watch on my arm. I wasn't allowed to wear it at work, especially with security violation written all over the action. I forgot to take it off! Supposed someone saw it, I could lose my job. Right at that moment I remembered to get my retainer from my purse when I put it in the truck. It could melt in the heat, costing a replacement cost of $300. All I can say is, "I didn't see that...
